Information we collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including:

• Name, email address, account preferences, and language preference.
• USCIS receipt numbers and case information you enter into the app.
• Documents, images, PDFs, notes, or categories you upload to organize your case.
• Support messages you send to us.
• Basic technical information such as device type, browser, app version, and error logs.

How we use your information

We use information to provide and improve MiCaso, including to:

• Check and display USCIS case status information.
• Save your cases, documents, USCIS history, and preferences.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Improve reliability, security, performance, and user experience.
• Prepare future features such as notifications or subscriptions when available.

USCIS case status requests

When you enter a USCIS receipt number, MiCaso sends that receipt number to our secure backend server. Our backend then authenticates server-side with the USCIS Case Status API and requests the current case status. USCIS API credentials, client secrets, and access tokens are kept server-side and are not shown in the browser or mobile app.

We use USCIS responses only to show case tracking information and educational explanations inside MiCaso. MiCaso does not change, submit, or file anything with USCIS on your behalf.

Documents and sensitive information

Immigration documents may contain sensitive personal information. Only upload documents you want to store in MiCaso. We use storage and security controls provided by our infrastructure providers to help protect uploaded files, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate MiCaso, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, email, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, and app distribution providers. Examples may include Supabase, Vercel, Apple, Google, and payment or analytics services if those features are enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate misuse, or to protect the security and integrity of MiCaso.

Apple and mobile app privacy

For App Store privacy disclosures, MiCaso may collect user-provided contact information, identifiers, documents or other user content, diagnostics, and product interaction data depending on which features you use. MiCaso does not currently sell personal information or use third-party advertising tracking. If we add advertising, subscriptions, push notifications, or new analytics features, we will update our disclosures as required.

Data retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide MiCaso, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve security, and operate the service. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons.

Children

MiCaso is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to MiCaso, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
